Refund Policy

1. Right of Withdrawal (14-Day "Cooling-Off" Period)

Under EU Consumer Rights regulations, you have the legal right to cancel or withdraw from your purchase within 14 calendar days without providing any reason.

  • The 14-day withdrawal period begins on the day you (or a third party designated by you) physically receive the goods.

  • To exercise this right, you can use our digital form on the [Cancel Your Order] page on our website.

2. Refunds

  • If you withdraw from your contract, we will reimburse all payments received from you, including standard delivery costs, without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the date we receive your cancellation notice.

  • We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the returned goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is earliest.

  • Refunds will be processed using the same payment method used for the original transaction unless explicitly agreed otherwise.

3. Returning Physical Goods

  • You must send back or hand over the goods to us no later than 14 days from the day you submit your withdrawal notice.

  • Return Shipping Costs: You will be responsible for paying the direct cost of returning the items unless the goods are damaged, defective, or incorrect.

4. Exceptions to the Right of Withdrawal

  • Factory-Sealed / New Vinyl: To qualify for a return due to a change of mind, new vinyl records must remain unopened in their original shrink-wrap/seal. Once the factory seal or tamper-evident seal is broken, the right of withdrawal is voided under sealed audio recording exemptions.

  • Return Shipping Costs: Unless the item is defective or shipped in error, the buyer is responsible for paying all return shipping costs. Items must be safely packaged to prevent damage in transit.

Damaged, Defective, or Misdescribed Items

If your record arrives damaged in transit, suffers from severe manufacturing defects (e.g., excessive warping, deep scratches causing skips, or incorrect pressings), or does not match the listed condition:

  • Notification: Please contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and clear photos/videos of the defect or damage.

  • Resolution: We will offer a free replacement (if in stock) or a full refund (including initial shipping fees). We may provide a pre-paid shipping label for the return of the defective item.

  • Note on Minor Imperfections: Normal audio characteristics inherent to vinyl (such as light surface noise, faint static, or minor jacket corner dings common in transit) are not considered manufacturing defects.

5. Statutory 2-Year Guarantee for Faulty Goods

  • In addition to your 14-day right of withdrawal, all products sold on FP RECORDS carry a mandatory 2-year legal guarantee under EU law. If an item you purchased is defective, damaged in transit, or not as advertised, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or full refund.
